Introduction:

Airseal Dampers are high quality fresh air, exhaust and smoke dampers manufactured by Coolbreeze.

The design of the Airseal Damper lends itself well to a multitude of applications. When rapid closure or positive shut off is required, the Airseal Damper is right there to perform the task. The dampers are suitable for hazourdous and potentially dangerous environments.

Why The Airseal Damper?

ENERGY SAVINGS: The main feature of the Airseal Damper is the positive shut off, minimizing the volume of air leakage to less than 0.001%. This is a significant improvement over the conventional damper. Eliminating the leakage of air affords better control of the intake or exhaust air. The result is large energy savings, by removing the need to heat unwanted cold air and keep heated air Inside the building.

LOW MAINTENANCE: Unique to the Airseal Damper is the cam-follower mechanism for control of dish movement. It is a no linkage system with few moving parts requiring no adjustment. Dish control is very positive eliminating vibration and fluttering during initial damper opening.

QUALITY CONSTRUCTION: The all welded damper frame and spun dish are fabricated from durable 16 gauge G90 galvanized steel for corrosion protection. The cam-follower castings are made of a corrosion resistant zinc-Aluminum alloy. Other features include maintenance free roller bearings and a 10 year warranty on the neoprene gasket.

Performance Specification:

The Air Seal Damper should be arranged to provide the desired linearity through proper arrangement of the dampers. The damper modules are available in three standard sizes, 12" x 12" square, 24" x 24" square and 36" x 36 square. Please refer to the damper schedule below for specific spring ranges.

The dampers are to be of the rotating disc type, Airseal model 'AS' series complete with linear stroke operators. Total leakage past the damper is not to exceed 0.0015: of the dedicated module c.f.m. at 4" w.g. static pressure differential across the damper. An extruded neoprene gasket shall be used to seal all mating surfaces. The gasket will carry a 10 year warranty on material.
