Specifications:

All units shall be manufactured to design specifications.
• All units and controls to be Factory Tested
• CETL and ETL Approved

Construction:

Unit casing shall be of standard 18 Gauge satin coat galvanized.
• Access doors shall be provided for fan and motor, damper, damper operator, gas manifold and control sections
• Unit shall be provided with standard liftout access being secured with camlock fasteners.
• Hinged access doors are an option with piano hinge and secured by camlock fasteners or VL-210 Ventlok handles.
• Rain gutters are provided on outdoor units over the access.
• The unit shall be supported by structural or formed channel. Integral lifting lugs are supported as required.
• All indoor units shall be insulated in the inlet section with 1” (1 1/2 Lb./CuFt) neoprene backed insulation only.
• All outdoor units shall be insulated in the inlet section with 1” (1 1/2 Lb./CuFt) neoprene backed insulation and foil face insulation downstream of the profile plate. • Liner and insulation is placed behind the control cabinet downstream of the profile plate to protect the controls from the burner flames radiant heat. • Inlet hoods are standard with 1” galvanized inlet screens on the air intakes.
• Roof curbs are available when requested

Fan Construction:

Units contain Centrifugal Fans with AMCA Standard Test Code, Bulletin 210.
• All fans and fan assemblies shall be dynamically balanced.
• Forward curve fans of 18” or less diameter shall have permanently lubricated cartridge ball bearings supported by a 3 point “spider” bearing bracket.
• Forward curve fans greater than 18” diameter shall have greasable pillow block bearings.
• Airfoil and other types of fans are available.
• Drives shall be adjustable on fan motors 5Hp or less and fixed pitch on fan motors greater than 5Hp.
• Motor mounting shall be adjustable to allow for variations in belt tension.
• Motors shall be open drip proof type (totally enclosed is available).

Burner Section:

The burner is a line type burner capable of 25 to 1 turndown.
• The burner gas train comes standard with modulating flow ratio valve, fail safe shut off valve(s), main and pilot pressure regulators and manual shut off valves.
• IRI and FM Manifolds are available.
• The controls and the gas manifold shall be contained in the control cabinet.

Construction:

The following safety devices are included:

A) Flame Proving Sensor
B) High Velocity Air Switch
C) Low Velocity Air Switch
D) High Temperature limit

- Unit shall start from exhaust fan. Interlock by others.

1.) The discharge air temperature shall be maintained constant by a discharge air sensor, which modulates the main flow ratio gas valve.

Discharge Air Controls:

Mechanical Modulation Options:

1.) Discharge Air Control: A capillary tube and bulb type sensor modulates the gas valve with the discharge air temperature set at the unit.
2.) Discharge Air Control with Two Level Control: Two main flow ratio valves, manifolds and controls are required to allow the unit to operate at two distinct discharge air temperature setpoints as set on the room thermostat. The thermostat will select low or high discharge air temperature.

Electronic Modulation Options:

1.) Discharge Air Control: Electronic sensor shall modulate the gas valve through an amplifier. An electronic temperature selector, can be unit mounted or remote mounted which is capable of setting the discharge air temperature setpoint.
2.) Discharge Air Control with Room Reset: A room thermostat, which is capable of increasing the discharge air setpoint as room conditions change. The room thermostat is compatible with the electronic control components and field wired to the unit.
3.) Discharge Air Control with Two Level Control: Two main flow ratio valves, manifolds and controls are required to allow the unit to operate at two distinct discharge air temperature setpoints as set on the room thermostat. The thermostat will select low or high discharge air temperature.

Standard Remote Panel:

1. Fan on/off switch and light
2. Heat on/off switch and light

Filters:

Filter sections have adequately sized access doors to allow easy removal of filters.
• The standard type filter is 1” Permanent Washable with and option of having 2” Replaceable Media filters with galvanized steel frames or 2” Pleated filters.
• Filters in the inlet hood shall be easily removed from tracks..

Dampers:

Damper shall be low leak parallel blade galvanized steel construction. Manufacturer shall be Ruskin or equivalent.

Alternatives:

Coolbreeze’s direct fired units can be custom designed to meet any air handling applications such as Kitchen Heat Reclaim, Evaporative Cooling, condensing applications, Built to Automotive Standards and any other custom applications requested. See the C-Series.
