Custom Air Handlers - C series:
Coolbreeze offers state of the art custom designed air handlers to suit any needs. There is engineering support for the entire system, including flow and acoustic analysis, as well as control system integration. Our custom design air handlers offer features such as heat recovery (Aluminum plate, heat pipe, glycol runaround), indirect fired, direct fired, evaporative cooling, spray wash, heat-cool, and multi-zone units. The C series air handler can be built to meet the following requirements:
• Light commercial
• Industrial
• Automotive
• Clean Room for Pharmaceutical, Semi-Conductor, Hospitals.
• Theaters, Concert Halls
• Penthouse
Specifications:
All units are manufactured to design specifications and customers needs.
• All units are factory tested.
• Independent leak testing and acoustical testing available.
Construction:
Coolbreeze air handling units can be built up in a variety of systems:
1. Steel Panel
2. Steel tubular with galvanized panels or siding
3. Extruded aluminum framing construction with aluminum base frame and enamel painted 24-gauge aluminum panel (interior and exterior) with polystyrene type insulation.
Steel Panel Type Construction:
The units have a structurally sound steel base frame constructed from either structural steel or formed galvanized steel. The base frames have strategically placed lifting lugs.
• The steel base shall be painted with a grey primer for rust prevention.
• The wall panels are minimum 1” thick 18-gauge G60 galvanized steel. The panels are fastened together with self-tapping Tex screws. Butyl-tape is used in between each panel and all exterior seams are caulked.
• The units have a neoprene type insulation which is glued and pinned into place. Also available is a perforated 24-gauge G90 galvanized or 24-gauge G90 galvanized solid liner.
• The roofs have a 2” interlocking standing seam for rigidity.
• The unit floor is constructed of minimum 18-gauge G60 galvanized steel with 10 gauge checker plate available.
• The underside of the unit is insulated with neoprene type insulation; a solid liner is available as an option.
• Outdoor units have sloped roofs. The slope is to the opposite side of the access side.
• The access doors shall have an 18-gauge steel frame with a minimum of (2) VL-210 Ventlok handles, minimum of (2) hinges (piano style hinges available) and an EPDM type bulb gasket. Access door under positive pressure shall open inwards and negative pressure open outwards. Also available are viewing windows and door holdback ties. Outdoor units have rain gutters or awnings.
• Inlet hoods and louvers shall be constructed of a minimum of 18-gauge G60 galvanized steel with 1” square galvanized bird-screen.
• The entire unit is painted with a rust primer and an epoxy type cover paint.
Tubular Type Construction:
The units have a structurally sound steel base frame constructed from either structural steel or formed galvanized steel. The base frame have strategically placed lifting lugs.
• The tubular framing is minimum 2” x 2” 16-gauge galvanized tube. The tubular framing is continuously welded at the joints.
• The tubular framing and steel base are painted with a grey primer for rust prevention.
• The exterior panels or siding are fastened with self-tapping Tex screws. The exterior panels or siding interlock with each other to prevent water or air leakage.
• All seams are caulked to prevent water or air leakage.
• The insulation is minimum 2” thick and 3 PCF density.
• The interior liner is either perforated 24-gauge G90 or 24-gauge G90 galvanized solid liner. Behind the perforated 24-gauge G90 galvanized liner is a non-erosion type duct liner to prevent any shedding of insulation into the air stream.
• The interior liner is screwed on with self-tapping Tex screws.
• The underside of the unit has minimum 24-gauge galvanized liner and minimum 2” thick and 3 PCF density.
• Outdoor units have a 2” interlocking standing roof seam to prevent water and air leakage.
• Outdoor units have a sloped roof. The slope shall be to the opposite side of the access side.
• The access doors have an 18-gauge steel frame with a minimum of (2) VL-210 Ventlok handles, minimum of (2) hinges (piano style hinges available) and an EPDM type bulb gasket. Access door under positive pressure shall open inwards and negative pressure open outwards. Also available are viewing windows and door holdback ties. Outdoor units shall have a rain gutter or awning.
• Inlet hoods and louvers are constructed of a minimum of 18-gauge G60 galvanized steel with 1” square galvanized bird-screen.
• The entire unit is painted with a rust primer and an epoxy type cover paint.
Aluminum Modular Framing Construction:
The units have a structurally sound formed base frame or Aluminum channel/tubular base frame. The base frame shall have strategically placed lifting locations. When the base frame is constructed of formed G60 galvanized steel, it is painted with a grey primer to prevent rusting.
• The wall and roof framing are constructed of an extruded Aluminum system. The corner profiles create the main structure with another Aluminum type profile for the intermediate support and strength.
• The unit panels are constructed of a 2” thick 24-gauge Aluminum with polystyrene type insulation. The interior and exterior color of the unit is white.
• The extruded Aluminum framing system is fastened to the Aluminum base frame.
• The unit floor is 3/16” thick Aluminum checker plate. The floor insulation is 2” thick 24-gauge Aluminum with polystyrene type insulation.
• The panels have Aluminum framing around the edge. The panels are fastened into place from the inside of the unit with self-tapping Tex screws with caulking in between.
• All exterior joints are caulked for water and air leakage.
• Outdoor units have a rubber type roofing to prevent water and air leakage.
• The access doors have a 1¾” gauge Aluminum with a polystyrene type insulation, with a minimum of (2) VL-210 Ventlok handles, minimum of (2) hinges (piano style hinges available) and an EPDM type bulb gasket. Access door under positive pressure open inwards and negative pressure open outwards. Also available are viewing windows and door holdback ties. Outdoor units shall have a Aluminum rain gutter or awning.
• Louvers are constructed of Aluminum with 1” square Aluminum bird-screen.
