When Coolbreeze was incorporated in 1969, our ambition was for the company to become a leading force in the heating, ventilating and air-conditioning industry. To date, we are pleased to have been involved in the construction of some of the largest industrial and commercial buildings in North America, providing quality installations for our clients.

The philosophy on which the company was founded is still an inherent part of Coolbreeze. A commitment to offer clients the utmost in service and quality, with an end product that is both cost-effective, efficient and energy saving.

Effective, energy-efficient heating, ventilating air -conditioning equipment properly applied is an essential part of today’s demand for minimum system operating costs. Coolbreeze prides itself as a leader in applying innovative techniques and ideas in an ever-changing industry. One of our major strengths is our capability to handle any project, regardless of size or complexity, from inception, through budgeting to the design, manufacturing, and start up.

Independently, Coolbreeze has been involved in the design and manufacturing of acoustical products for the most sophisticated sound rooms, TV Studio’s, and theaters in Canada. In 1997, the decision was made to begin marketing Custom Air Handling Units incorporating primarily the use of axial fans under the name of Coolbreeze. In addition to the air handling units, we also market our own line of acoustical panels, silencers, and Positive Seal Dampers.

 

 

Coolbreeze operates from a corporate owned 55,000 square foot facility on a four acre lot in an industrial park adjacent to the Toronto International Airport. The facility is equipped with state of the art metal manufacturing machinery including three fully computerized metal cutting robots, computerized cut to length coil line, power shears, press brakes. Coolbreeze employs approximately 80 people ranging from sheet metal fabricators, refrigeration mechanics, welders, controls and electrical technicians.

The key to the company’s rapid growth is our staff, some of whom have been with the company from the very beginning. They are all dedicated professionals who have invested their time, energy and knowledge to help make Coolbreeze a success.

The management team consists of the Owner and President, Anthony Della Penna, with over 40 years of experience in the manufacturing industry; Mr. Robert Regan is the company’s Vice President. He has a B.A. in Business Administration and had 35 years experience in the HVAC industry. Dr. Werner Richarz, is Director of Research and Development. Since 1989, Dr. Richarz has amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience in the design of acoustical air handling equipment. He holds several patents, and is responsible for aerodynamic and acoustic design. Dr. Richarz is an Adjunct Professor at Carleton University in Ottawa, and a Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America.

This highly experienced and competent group of individuals, combined with Coolbreeze’s financial strength and manufacturing expertise make a very powerful and effective team.
